Türkiye’s state-owned defense company ROKETSAN said on Tuesday it had successfully test-fired its TRLG-122 laser-guided missile from a light vehicle platform, striking a stationary sea target with high precision.

The company said the trial underscored the system’s mobility and cost-effectiveness for modern combat, particularly in asymmetric warfare and urban operations.

The TRLG-122, an upgraded version of the TRG-122 missile, has a range of 13–30 km and combines an inertial navigation system with a laser seeker head. It carries a 13.5 kg warhead with a blast radius of more than 40 meters and is designed to target radar sites, air defense systems, command centers, logistics hubs and troop concentrations.

ROKETSAN noted the missile is resistant to electronic jamming and offers accuracy within two meters, reducing the risk of civilian casualties. The weapon was developed entirely with domestic resources, the company said.

The system builds on technology from ROKETSAN’s TRLG-230 program, first launched in 2020.
