The fair, which is under the auspices of the Presidency, hosted by the Ministry of National Defence and under the management and responsibility of TAFF, will be held in Istanbul between 22 and 27 July 2025. International cooperation and export opportunities at IDEF 2025

Haluk Görgün emphasised that IDEF has become a platform for intensive international cooperation. Noting that the number of international exhibitors outnumbered national exhibitors last year, Görgün said they expect a similar level of interest this year. He also noted that the exhibition provides an environment where defence industry cooperation can be more effective, as Istanbul is a centre of attraction.

What will take place at IDEF 2025?

IDEF 2025 will be held at four different venues, including Atatürk Airport, Ataköy Marina and the WOW Congress Centre, in addition to the Istanbul Expo Centre. The exhibition is planned as an event where air, land and naval vehicles will be on display, live demonstrations will be held and international cooperation meetings will be organised. In addition, the last two days of the exhibition will be open to the public and defence industry enthusiasts will be able to visit the exhibition.

Turkey’s defence export goals at IDEF 2025

IDEF 2025 is expected to make a significant contribution to Turkey’s goals of increasing defence industry exports. Haluk Görgün recalled that 141 signing ceremonies were held at last year’s IDEF 2023, and stated that they believe international cooperation and export opportunities will increase even further this year.
